About Matt

Matt Conrad, CPA has more than 20 years of experience working as a Certified Public Accountant. Since graduating from Westminster College in 1995, he held various positions within public accounting firms in the Pittsburgh and State College areas, including a large regional firm. Matt utilized this extensive experience he obtained in the various public accounting firms and in 2015 established Matthew P. Conrad, CPA, LLC. As a trusted advisor, he teaches his clients how to operate efficiently and gain an edge on their competition.

Matt's responsibilities include professional development through referral organizations, networking and relationships with other professionals, and owners of companies within the community. The core services Matt provides are income tax preparation, trusted advisor consulting, tax planning, financial statements, and supervision.

Matt is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and past member of the State College Lions Chapter of BNI, where he served as President and Treasurer. He is active in civic and charitable organizations, and he currently serves as a Finance Committee member of the Centre County United Way, where he was a past Board Member and Treasurer. He also previously served as Treasurer and Board Member of the Builders Association of Central Pennsylvania.

When Matt is not providing accounting services, he is one of the ‘Eyes in the Sky’ in the Replay Booth on Saturday’s as a NCAA Division I Instant Replay Football Official for the Collegiate Officials Consortium (Big Ten and Mid-American (MAC) Conferences). He also enjoys free time with his wife, two children and their Dog along with a day out on the golf course.

About Hope

Hope K. Bratton has more than 20 years of experience working in public accounting and 28 total years in the accounting industry. Since graduating from South Hills School of Business in 1991, she held various positions within corporate and public accounting firms in the Lewistown and State College areas, including a national CPA firm. She joined the firm in May 2019, as a Manager, after working 19 years at a national CPA firm in State College.

Ms. Bratton has a variety of skills which include income tax preparation, consulting, tax planning, financial statements, bookkeeping, write-up work, payroll services and QuickBooks consulting. Although not required, Hope annually exceeds the twenty hours of continuing professional education in various accounting, small business and tax areas.

When Hope is not providing accounting services, she enjoys spending time with her dog and shows her horse competitively at the regional and national level. Hope is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Pennsylvania Quarter Horse Association.

About Michele

Michele A. Lewis has more than 37 years of experience working in public accounting. Since graduating from high school in 1981, she held various positions within public accounting firms in Lewistown, including a regional CPA firm. She joined the firm in September 2015, as a Staff Accountant, after working 33 years with her father, Ronald Evelhoch, CPA.

Ms. Lewis has a variety of skills which include income tax preparation, bookkeeping, write-up work and payroll services.

When Michele is not providing accounting services, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is involved in civic organizations and currently is the treasurer of Friends of the Mifflin County Library.

About Stephanie

Stephanie D. Conrad joined the firm in September 2015, as an Office Manager. She attended Franklin & Marshall College, where she graduated in 1992 with a major in mathematics and a minor in dance. In August 2004, she took over Miss Judy’s School of Dance, which was owned by Matt’s aunt for 45 years. The dance studio is now named Miss Stephanie’s School of Dance, Inc., which is located in Lewistown.

Stephanie assists on day to day operations of the Lewistown office and is the friendly face that will greet you when you come to the office. Stephanie also assists in bookkeeping and tax return assembly.

Stephanie loves her family and chocolate Labrador Retriever (Stuffi). She treasures spending time with them and her friends. She enjoys beach trips, Disney trips, board games, and the family pool.

About Stuffi

Stuffi Conrad, joined the firm in September 2015, as the Office Mascot. She always will greet you with a smile, sniff, and wag of her tail. Even though she has signs of gray hair, she continues to show up at the office, especially when her ‘mommy’ is in attendance.

Stuffi enjoys her daily treats, summer swims in the family pool and spending time with her family. She loves to travel, especially the annual family trip to the beach!
